The clothing bags also contained a few neat costumes...
A few weeks back, Gryphon and Alice came to visit!
Daddy's swim goggles are the latest bath accessory.
Last week, J greatly enjoyed bringing his Mommy and Daddy to his school for an evening open house. He showed us all around, including the indoor "farm," set up for this month's harvest theme.
Saddling up, he likes to pretend he is Woody (of "Toy Story" fame) riding his shy bronco, Bullseye.
He sang the Continent Song for Mommy.
And shared his Alpha Buddies book.
And picked and handed around fresh tomatoes from the school garden!
Afterward, we retired to a nearby Cajun restaurant, and he celebrated his scholastic progress with a fresh lemonade.
A few days later, it was time for the preschool field trip to the pumpkin patch. The highlight? An elaborate Thomas train fashioned of painted haybales, with a slide that deposited kiddos into a maze.
The farmer trailed us around in these elaborate wagons by tractor.
This year's winner.
The next morning at home, we got to work on giving that pumpkin a face.
It was diagrammed ahead of time with J's careful consultation. Daddy sketched up many sample expressions, but J decided on his own that what he wanted to see in the pumpkin's face was "concentration." He said this design did the job.
The day before Halloween, J debuted his costume at preschool. It just so happened that one of his preschool friends came as The Man With the Yellow Hat.
But J had his own life-size Man in Yellow for the trick-or-treating excursion.
