Due to the wonderful generosity of our families, M and I were able to sneak away for 4 days to Santa Cruz and Carmel (sans baby). Although we're looking a bit serious here on the beach at Carmel, we had an awesome time, seriously awesome in fact.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, we're trying to teach Baby J how to eat with a spoon. Unfortunately, he finds it much quicker to ditch the spoon (seen here lying dejectedly on his bib), and grab the grub with his fingers. But hey, it tastes better that way.

It was so lovely to see you! You both are such amazing parents! I am SO happy you had that time away, it is so very important. Gerry and I had our first night away in June and it was heavenly! God Bless, the Murphy's
